Hey Mama,
It’s July. The sun’s out, the days are long, and everything around us is buzzing with energy.
But if you’re like most of the women I’ve been talking to lately…
You’re not feeling that energy.
You’re waking up groggy. Struggling through the day. And by 2 or 3 pm?
You’re done.
I ran a poll this week and most of you said the same thing:
“Drained. Sluggish. Foggy.”
Here’s What’s Actually Happening (And Why It’s Not Your Fault):
Summer is supposed to bring energy and lightness—but only if your body’s got the reserves to handle it.
If you’ve spent the last few months (or years) running on empty thanks to pregnancy, birth, and nonstop mom life…
Your body doesn’t have the fuel it needs to keep up with the season.
What does that look like?
Waking up tired (even after a full night’s sleep)
Afternoon crashes that leave you reaching for caffeine or sugar
Feeling puffy, bloated, or heavy
Mood swings, irritability, or brain fog
Feeling emotionally flat or easily overwhelmed
This isn’t laziness or bad habits.
It’s your body waving a flag: “I’m running low. Please help.”
A Summer Evening Tea to Calm Your Body & Mind 🌿
One simple way to start helping your body recharge?
An evening tea that helps calm your nervous system, ease irritability, and support better sleep.
Here’s what I’ve been making for myself and my clients this month:
Summer Shen-Soothing Tea Blend:
Suan Zao Ren (1/2 tsp) → Helps you settle, sleep deeper, and feel less frazzled
Chrysanthemum (3ish flowers) → Cools you down (especially helpful if you’re running hot, irritable, or having eye tension)
Rose Petals (1/2 tsp) → Lightens emotional heaviness and lifts that mental fog
Fresh Ginger (1 slice) → Keeps digestion moving and supports circulation
👉 Steep for 5-7 minutes. Sip slowly after dinner.
Caution: If you’re pregnant or run very cold, reach out before trying this blend.
☀️ Your Summer Grocery List (Simple & Actionable!)
Seasonal eating isn’t just trendy—it’s one of the easiest ways to support your energy, mood, and digestion as the weather shifts.
This month’s Summer Grocery List will help you stay grounded, nourished, and steady—even when the heat and hustle feel overwhelming.
3 key foods to focus on this season:
🍉 Water-rich fruits (like watermelon & cucumber) → Help cool internal heat and prevent dehydration (great for moms running hot or irritable).
🥩 Grass-fed meats & bone broth → Anchor your energy and prevent that scattered, burned-out feeling that comes with too much summer activity.
🌿 Fresh herbs (mint, basil, cilantro) → Lighten meals, support digestion, and help your body handle heat with more ease.
